A shared lounge for socializing - The cozy shared lounge at the property was like a magnet, attracting fellow travelers from all walks of life. It felt like a vibrant melting pot of cultures and conversations, where stories flowed as freely as the tea in Nuwara Eliya.
Neighbor room too close.

I had an amazing stay at a cozy cottage in the beautiful mountains. The views were breathtaking, and the location was just a short walk from the town center. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, welcoming me with a hot cup of tea upon arrival. The homemade dinner served at the cottage was simply delicious, offering a taste of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The cleanliness of the cottage was impeccable, and I was provided with ample bedding to keep warm on chilly nights. The presence of friendly Dalmatians made my stay even more memorable. I highly recommend this tranquil retreat.

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even anticipating our needs by providing extra blankets for the cold weather. The cottage had a beautiful daisies garden that added to its charm. The staff was also very helpful, offering assistance in arranging tuk-tuk rides, guides for the Horton Plains National Park, and drivers for visiting the waterfalls. The hot shower was a nice touch, and the breakfast provided was delicious.
We felt right at home during our stay and had no complaints whatsoever.

We had a wonderful stay at a beautiful property in a scenic location. the views from the room's balcony were lovely, and we enjoyed being just a short walk from the town center. the owners were friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the upgrade to a spacious family room. the property had a cozy atmosphere and well-maintained gardens. We also enjoyed the delicious home-cooked meals served here.
Limited privacy with neighboring rooms. Hard to reach by foot, especially because of the uphill climb.

I recently stayed at Sherwood Cottage for a few days and I absolutely loved it. The view from the balcony was stunning, and the charming rooms made me feel right at home. The location, nestled on a hillside away from the traffic, was perfect for relaxation. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the recommendations they provided for local restaurants and activities were very helpful. I especially enjoyed the breakfast pack they prepared for my early morning trip to Horton Plains. The overall atmosphere at the cottage was friendly and relaxed, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The rooms at Sherwood Cottage were really cozy and comfortable. They had a nice seating area where we could relax and unwind after a long day. The views of the garden were lovely, it felt like a peaceful retreat. The private bathroom was clean and had all the necessary amenities, including a hairdryer.
Personally, I would have preferred if the rooms had bathtubs instead of just showers. But hey, that's just my preference, others might not mind it at all.

I had a fantastic stay at Sherwood Cottage in the beautiful town of Nuwara Eliya. The owner treated me like family and went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was clean and spacious, and I especially loved the breathtaking view from the balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful, even lending me their mobile when the wifi went down. The hot shower was a lifesaver after a long day of exploring. Although there were a few minor issues like the limited hot water and inadequate blankets, they were quickly addressed by the attentive staff. Despite these small hiccups, my overall experience at Sherwood Cottage was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant and memorable stay in Nuwara Eliya.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely cottage in the hills. the location was perfect, just a short walk to town. the owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. the food, especially the pre-ordered rice and curry, was delicious and reasonably priced. Our room had a stunning view of the village below, and we even had a balcony to enjoy it from. the cottage itself was surrounded by beautiful flowers and had a cozy atmosphere. we would highly recommend staying here for a memorable experience in Sri Lanka. Cons: There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. 😊.
